Your Safari Unfolds

Your 15-day adventure across Africa's most spectacular wilderness areas

1
Day 1

Touchdown in Tanzania

Arusha City

Your journey begins the moment you step off the plane at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After clearing customs, you'll be met by our team and driven to The Scenery Residence in Arusha. It's the perfect place to shake off the jet lag. You can spend the afternoon on your private balcony watching the sun dip behind the mountains or take a quick dip in the pool. Dinner is a relaxed affair—fresh, local fusion prepared by the house chef—letting you settle in before the early morning flight into the bush.

2
Day 2

Flight to the Mara River

Northern Serengeti

We don't waste any time. After an early breakfast, you'll board a light aircraft for a scenic bush flight to the Northern Serengeti. Watch the landscape transform from the cultivated highlands to the endless golden plains below. Upon landing at a remote airstrip, your guide meets you for an immediate game drive to camp. This afternoon, we begin our vigil at the Mara River banks, cameras ready for the drama to unfold.

3
Day 3

The Chaos of the Mara River - Day 1

Northern Serengeti

We've positioned you here for one reason: the Great Migration. Today begins our dedicated river crossing vigil. You'll spend the morning parked by the banks of the Mara River, cameras ready. There is nothing quite like the tension in the air as thousands of wildebeest mass on the banks, waiting for one brave individual to jump. When they finally plunge into the water, dodging crocodiles and navigating the currents, it's a photographic adrenaline rush. Back at camp, the evening is spent around a roaring bonfire sharing stories of the day's best shots.

4
Day 4

The Chaos of the Mara River - Day 2

Northern Serengeti

Another dawn, another opportunity for the crossing of a lifetime. Each day brings different energy—sometimes the herds hesitate for hours before the explosive moment; other times they surge across at first light. Your guide knows the best vantage points and will position you where predators often lie in wait. Hippos grunt in the pools, vultures circle overhead, and the raw power of nature unfolds before your lens.

5
Day 5

The Chaos of the Mara River - Day 3

Northern Serengeti

Our final full day along the Mara River. By now you'll have witnessed multiple crossing attempts and perhaps the successful—and sometimes tragic—dramas that define this natural spectacle. Today we might explore alternative crossing points or focus on the predators that follow the migration. Lions, leopards, and hyenas are never far from the abundance.

6
Day 6

Tracking the Big Cats of Seronera - Day 1

Central Serengeti

We head south into the heart of the Serengeti—the Seronera Valley. This is big cat territory. While the North is about the movement of the herds, Central Serengeti is about the resident predators. Staying at Enkirari Tented Camp, you're right in the middle of the action. We'll be scanning the iconic "kopjes" (rocky outcrops) for lions and checking the sausage trees for leopards lounging on branches. If you've ever wanted to see a cheetah in full sprint across the open plains, this is the place.

7
Day 7

Tracking the Big Cats of Seronera - Day 2

Central Serengeti

Today we focus on the apex predators. We'll be scanning the iconic kopjes for lions and checking the sausage trees for leopards. The Seronera area has some of the highest predator densities in Africa. Early morning offers the best chance for hunting action—perhaps a cheetah in full sprint. If you've chosen the optional hot air balloon safari, today is perfect—floating over the Serengeti at dawn is an unforgettable experience. The light here at dawn is a photographer's dream.

8
Day 8

Tracking the Big Cats of Seronera - Day 3

Central Serengeti

Our final day in big cat country. The light here at dawn is a photographer's dream, especially for capturing the golden-maned Serengeti lions. We'll make one last sweep of the best leopard territories and check known cheetah hunting grounds. This afternoon, we begin our journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for a picnic lunch with views across the endless plains.

9
Day 9

Inside the Ngorongoro Caldera - Day 1

Ngorongoro Crater

Today we transition to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We'll be staying at the EWA Private Mobile Camp, which gives you a much more intimate, "off-the-grid" feeling than the larger lodges on the rim. Settle into camp and enjoy the cooler highland air. This afternoon, take a short walk around the crater rim to appreciate the scale of what awaits tomorrow. The evening brings a gourmet bush dinner under a canopy of stars.

10
Day 10

Inside the Ngorongoro Caldera - Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

The highlight—descending into the Ngorongoro Crater floor. It feels like a prehistoric world. Because the walls of the crater act as a natural enclosure, the wildlife density is staggering. You'll see old "tusker" elephants, massive prides of lions, and if we're lucky, the rare black rhino. It's one of the few places in Africa where you can check off the entire "Big Five" in a single afternoon. Picnic lunch on the crater floor before continuing our exploration.

11
Day 11

Inside the Ngorongoro Caldera - Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

A second morning in the crater allows us to seek out anything we might have missed—perhaps a better rhino sighting or a lion hunt in progress. The morning light creates entirely different photographic conditions. After lunch at a scenic viewpoint on the rim, we begin our journey to Tarangire National Park, descending through lush coffee plantations and Maasai villages.

12
Day 12

The Giants of Tarangire - Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Our final stop is Tarangire National Park, a landscape dominated by ancient, gnarled Baobab trees. While the Serengeti is about the scale of the plains, Tarangire is about the "Land of Giants." From our base at Tarangire Katikati Camp, we'll track the massive elephant herds that migrate to the Tarangire River. The park has one of the highest elephant concentrations in Tanzania. Settle into camp, then head out for your first evening drive among the iconic baobabs.

13
Day 13

The Giants of Tarangire - Day 2

Tarangire National Park

A full day dedicated to Tarangire's unique wildlife. We'll track elephant herds along the river, photograph tree-climbing lions (Tarangire has its own population), and explore areas rich in birdlife. The park is a haven for birders, with vivid rollers and raptors providing splashes of color against the red dust. As the afternoon golden hour approaches, we position for the iconic shot—elephants silhouetted against 1,000-year-old baobab trees.

14
Day 14

The Giants of Tarangire - Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Our final full safari day. Photographing a herd of fifty elephants silhouetted against a 1,000-year-old Baobab tree at sunset is the perfect way to wrap up the safari. We'll make the most of every moment, with a dawn drive to catch the animals at their most active and a final evening drive to bid farewell to the African bush. Tonight's dinner is a celebration—sharing favorite photos and memories from an incredible journey.

15
Day 15

A Moment to Reflect & Head Home

Arusha City

After one last bush breakfast, we'll make our way back toward Arusha. We've arranged day-use rooms for you at Kia Lodge, located just three minutes from the airport. It's a great spot to have a hot shower, reorganize your camera gear, and look through your photos one last time before your evening flight. You'll head to the gate with a full memory card and a very different perspective on the natural world. Kwaheri—until we meet again on safari.
