Zebra Plains Mara Camp

Zebra Plains Mara Camp is the first camp of the Zebra Plains Collection, set below the Oldonyo Oloip ridge in the Talek area of the Maasai Mara, on the boundary of Olare Orok Conservancy. The ridge is home ground for the Moniko pride of lions, and a natural waterhole sits right in front of camp. It is a classic tented camp for up to 100 guests, with 17 rooms facing the savannah, 29 facing the hillside and two family tents joined by a private lounge. Each room is 55 m², with a hot shower, twin basins, a desk and a verandah. There is a pool looking over the plains, two campfire areas, indoor and outdoor lounges and power around the clock. Game drives in open-sided Land Cruisers head into the Maasai Mara National Reserve with KPSGA-rated guides. The Great Migration usually reaches the Mara between July and October, and August and September are often the busiest months for river crossings on the Mara and Talek rivers. Walking safaris with armed rangers, balloon flights and Maasai visits are offered too. The camp is open all year and is not run on an all-inclusive basis.
