It is one of the oldest lodges inside the park and has been family-owned and run since 1985. Most rooms are tents with verandas and solar-heated en-suite showers, and there are a few bungalows. The dining area, bar and lounge are open-plan and face the river, and there is a large pool. The main gate is about 10 km away.

The bluff position gives an uninterrupted view over the Tarangire River and the baobab-dotted plains, where the park's famous elephant herds are often visible from the lodge.

Is the accommodation tented or standard hotel rooms?
