Maisha Sweetwaters Camp
Maisha Sweetwaters Camp
Maisha Sweetwaters Camp is a tented camp in Laikipia that opened in 2024, 4.5 km past Ol Pejeta's Rongai Gate and just outside the conservancy boundary. Despite the name it is a separate property from Sweetwaters Serena Camp, which stands inside Ol Pejeta. The tents come in two grades: Morani tents of 100 m², air-conditioned with large balconies over the camp waterhole, and Deluxe tents of 94 m². Both are available as singles, twins, doubles and triples, and the family tents sleep four or five. There is a heated pool, a spa, a restaurant, a bar with an open fire and Wi-Fi in the tents. Game drives go into Ol Pejeta or the nearby Solio Game Reserve, and the camp also arranges nature and bird walks, horse riding, sundowners, cultural visits, trips to the chimpanzee sanctuary and a tree-planting morning for the rhino sanctuary. Nanyuki airstrip is about 30 minutes away. Maisha Sweetwaters works well for families and groups who want air-conditioned tents near Ol Pejeta; its sister camps are Kibo Safari Camp in Amboseli and Mara Maisha Camp in the Maasai Mara.
