Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is set in an old acacia forest near the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, on the quieter Lemala access road. Tents have warm duvets and gas heaters for the cold crater nights. Game drives can leave from 6:15am, usually about an hour ahead of guests coming down the Seneto road, so you reach the crater floor early. Escorted walks along the rim go out with an armed ranger and a Maasai guide.
