Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Drive to Tarangire National Park and plunge straight into an afternoon game drive. Drive north through the Serengeti's western corridor and into the remote northern sector near Kogatende. This is migration territory — depending on the season (typically July to October), vast columns of wildebeest and zebra gather here as they approach the Mara River. The journey itself is a game drive, with wildlife encounters throughout.

Position yourself near the Mara River for one of nature's greatest spectacles. Thousands of wildebeest gather on the banks, building courage before plunging into the crocodile-infested waters in a chaotic, heart-stopping crossing. Even when crossings are not active, the northern Serengeti offers exceptional game viewing with large predator populations drawn by the migration herds.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive before transferring to the Kogatende airstrip for a scenic bush flight back to Arusha (or begin the long drive).
