Sayari Camp, its very
spacious 15 luxury
tents are split into
2 wings - one with 9
and one with 6 tents
- all of which are
raised on wooden
platforms to offer a
spacious and
extremely
comfortable stay.
Both wings have
their own lounge and
dining areas, to
retain the intimacy
of a small scale
camp. For groups, it
is possible to book
wings (or the entire
camp) exclusively.
The tents are very
spacious and
equipped with
contemporary,
comfortable
furniture; the en
suite bathroom has
full running water
with flush toilet,
shower, double stone
hand basins, as well
as a free standing
bath. Veranda, bed
and bath in each
guest tent offer
panoramic views over
the Serengeti. The
camp’s central area
consists of a large,
comfortable lounge
with an ‘all day’
bar service, rock
swimming pool and
fire place as well
as two ‘chill out’
areas under canvas
slightly away from
the main lounge to
give a quiet area to
read a book or bird
watch.
At the edge of the
camp, a Suite has
been put in a very
private position to
cater for
honeymooners and
guests who want to
indulgence in the
most private of
Serengeti
experiences. The
Suite boasts an
inside and outside
rock both,
positioned in a
secluded corner
close to the raised
wooden deck. A
private butler will
look after guests
and provide private
meals under the
stars or offer any
services as
required.
The northern
Serengeti has
established itself
as arguably the
single best
safari
destination in
Africa. As well as
being one of the
most remote and
tranquil parts of
the park, this area
also offers an
unparalleled game
experience.
Throughout the year,
the area offers
excellent cat and
plains game viewing,
as well as offering
the Mara River croc
and hippo action.
During the July to
November period, the
Great Migration
typically resides in
this area, enabling
many guests of the
camp to experience
the spectacular
phenomenon of
massive Mara River
crossings by herds
of wildebeest and
zebra in an area
that is wonderfully
private and quiet.
When the Migration
has left for the
Southern Plains, Sayari Camp offers
an incredible
private
concession-like
experience, with the
whole northern
Serengeti – with all
its cats, elephant,
crocs, hippo, plains
game and natural
beauty - as a
private playground
for our camp’s
guests.
Throughout the year,
Sayari Camp is now
also able to offer
walking safaris
either in early
morning or late
afternoon.
